RECURRENCE OF
CHILDHOOD

The project is about the recurrence of Rudyard Kipling to the place where he spent his first six years of his life.

Stating that The Dean Bungalow, Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art, Fort, Mumbai, where Kipling was born, the original cottage may have been torn down decades ago and a new one was built in its place. A wooden bungalow has been empty and locked up for years, but for Rudyard the place makes him reminisce like a 5 year boy, with memories of the stories and Indian nursery songs told by male attendant which still resides within him.

Now Rudyard is back to have a look around the place and refurbished Dean bungalow before it gets reconstructed again.
